SB Therapy News is the news arm and blog of The Santa Barbara Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. (SB CAMFT)
Its mission is to connect mental health professionals.
Its goal is to provide a platform for promoting expertise and professional enrichment.

SB CAMFT is a group of nearly 300 licensed and prelicensed members who provide counseling for individuals, couples, families or groups with relationship problems.
Each member has, or is in the process of pursuing, a masters degree or above in clinical counseling.
Our geographic area covers all of Santa Barbara County.
Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) are licensed mental health professionals who work with individuals; couples whether or not married; families of all types; and groups to cure or relieve mental, emotional, and relational concerns of all kinds. MFTs work in private practice and a variety of other settings throughout California and the rest of the country providing mental health services. MFTs have minimally acquired two-year masters degrees, 3,000 hours of supervised experience, and have passed two rigorous exams.
Santa Barbara CAMFT has a cross-section of skilled, multi-lingual, multi-cultural members with specialties that include:
